The Factory Digital Filmmaking Program at Douglas presents:

April 1999 to March 2014, throughout the United States and Canada, there have been over 2,801 Project Lifesaver rescues; with the average rescue time being under 30 minutes with no deaths or serious injuries.

West Virginia became the 42nd state to join Project Lifesaver International in June, 2005.

As of March 2014, Project Lifesaver is in 42 West Virginia counties.

As participating agency for Project Lifesaver in West Virginia, there have been 42 successful searches without serious injury or loss of life.

Wood County has been designated as 1 of only 6 Project Lifesaver Airborne Search and Rescue training facilities in the United States.

Use of a helicopter or other aircraft dramatically increases the search range, enhancing an already effective ground search capability. Wood County and West Virginia State Police helicopter support is available for Project Lifesaver searches anywhere in the State of West Virginia.

Because the equipment is paid for through tax deductible donations, the monthly maintenance cost to the client is only $10.00 per month.
